1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille

In September 1996 I sold the '55 Chevy wagon and bought this Caddy.  This car came from the original owner.  It had the old 1960's fitted clear plastic covers on the interior.  When the plastic was removed the original interior was in immaculate condition, as is the rest of the car.  It's probably one of the only 1962 Caddy's still around the all original paint, working factory air, power windows, etc.

I owned this car just long enough to lower it about 2" all the way around.  I stepped the lower A-arms in front and used a pair of 1969 Camaro front coil springs in the rear.  At the time no one was making any lowering products for these cars.

Eventually, I sold the car to my good friend, Mark Ball.  He wanted the car lower, so he and I installed a four-corner air ride system.  This was the second car I had done air ride on.  Mark then put a set of 17" Americans all the way around with a 275/60/17 rear tire and 225/60/17 on the front.  We put the air ride gauge in place of the factory clock and hid the up and down buttons in the factory radio.  The push buttons on the radio now control the air ride, so the dash appears just as it came from the factory.

Mark has owned the car for 11 years now and he's kept it in perfect condition.  Knowing Mark, he'll never sell it!
