1947 Chevrolet Pickup
Here is another dry western truck. This '47 Chevy belongs to Jeff Quiggle of Louisville, Kentucky.
Jeff had already installed a Mustang II front end with air bags along with an Ididit steering column. He also installed a new small block Chevy and 350 turbo. Jeff brought the truck to me to have the rear frame section done including ladder bars, monster notch, and to finish out the air ride system. Jeff also provided a late model Camaro rear end.
This is the stock frame/rear end configuration from 1947.
Now this is more like it! Here you can see the monster frame notch, ladder bars, 5-gallon air tank and the 15 gallon fuel cell.
These trucks are so cool down low, and this one literally sets the running boards on the ground.
This is another perfectly patinaed pickup from "out west" and just a note, I didn't break one bolt on this project. These dry climate vehicles are so nice to work on.
